Gaffer

Casey Gold

Casey Gold was born May 25th, 1995 in Inverness, FL, to Christopher and Elizabeth Gold. He grew up in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Upon entering High School, his family moved to Quantico, Virginia. In High school, Casey got involved in his Video Communications, and Digital Photography classes. During this time, Casey also started to volunteer in his local church as a camera operator. Through his church, Casey volunteered in 3 of their annual conferences, as a camera operator and video editor. He also worked as a camera operator for the conference promo shoots. After graduating high school Casey’s experience volunteering in his church led to him deciding do attend Full Sail University for college for film. 

 

For the next 2 years, Casey studied film at Full Sail University. He quickly picked up a liking for the Lighting department. This led to him working on a lot of student films as a Gaffer. During his college time, he also got involved with a new church local to Orlando. He volunteered as a Lighting Technician, giving him a place to learn more in the Live Production field. Casey graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Film and decided to continue on his education, for his MFA in film.  Casey worked on multiple thesis film sets as a Gaffer, or Key Grip. Casey will be graduating with his Master of Fine Arts in Film Production on September 30th, 2016.
